About ProcessConvert

ProcessConvert is an independent engineering reference for unit conversions, calculation tools and substance solution properties, written for engineers who verify their own numbers.

01

What ProcessConvert is

ProcessConvert publishes deterministic engineering unit conversions across pressure, flow, temperature and the other quantities a process plant runs on, alongside interactive engineering calculators, concept guides, reference tables and computed solution properties for common process chemicals. Every page shows the formula, the assumptions and a worked example, so the result can be checked rather than taken on trust.

02

Who builds it

ProcessConvert is built and reviewed by a practising process engineer with more than 25 years across the mining and oil and gas industries.

03

How values are produced

Conversion factors are fixed from SI definitions and cited sources. Calculators show their formula, assumptions, limitations and a worked example, so every result can be checked by hand. Substance property data is computed from established published models and checked against independent published references; a value that fails that check is not published.

The methodology page describes the conversion-factor sources, temperature handling, precision policy and reference standards in full.

04

Independence

ProcessConvert is independent of equipment vendors and suppliers. No vendor or supplier has editorial input into the values, methods or limitations published here.

05

Report an error

If you spot a factor, label, symbol or formula that looks wrong, please tell us. Concrete reports — “the factor on page X shows Y, but it should be Z because…” — are especially helpful.
